Air Miner HVAC Integration
Route mining heat through your ventilation — warm every room
Overview: Air miner → Heat recovery ventilation → Warm air to every room
How It Works
An air-cooled Bitcoin miner produces a lot of heat when it runs. Instead of blowing this heat into the room or venting it outside, you can route it directly into your ventilation system — turning waste heat into whole-home heating.
Technical Solution
- Place the miner near your ventilation unit — typically in the attic, utility room, or technical closet
- Connect a duct or flex hose from the miner's exhaust fans into the heat recovery ventilator (HRV)
- The HRV receives the hot air and distributes it evenly through the house's ventilation channels to all rooms
- The warm air mixes with fresh incoming air, giving you both fresh ventilation and heating at the same time
It's essentially a form of heat recovery where the miner becomes your dedicated heat source.
Benefits
- Nearly 100% heat efficiency — almost all energy going to the miner heats your home
- Even, comfortable temperature — no need for extra panel heaters or radiators
- Good air quality — the ventilation system spreads heat while providing fresh air circulation
- Easy setup — especially if you already have balanced ventilation with heat recovery (HRV/ERV)
- Adjustable power — typically 1–4 kW depending on the miner and how much noise you can tolerate
- Summer flexibility — divert the hot air outside when heating isn't needed
Summary
Instead of seeing the miner as just a computer that makes heat, think of it as a dedicated heat source that mines Bitcoin — integrated directly with your ventilation system. This is one of the most practical and energy-efficient ways to heat your home while mining.
